Temporary home, dragonfly-creations

I just want to share a few things today, I have had many people ask where we are going to live? What we are going to do? etc... Well, we really didn't know for a while and what we do know we want to keep to ourselves. We close on our house May the fourth and this will be our temporary home...

Another thing I want to share is how proud I am of this...

The pictures really do not give the picture frame justice. The quality of this frame is amazing. I just love it. Mrs. Roxanne Stewart Harrison and her husband, Kenny, make these and they do a fantastic job. The quality and price will not be beat, I promise. The Harrison's company is called dragonfly-creations here is the link to there blog:
Like I said, these pictures do the frame NO justice you really need to see it, touch it, and pick it up to really know the quality.

They also customize letters...

Cindy's Cookies

When I was in high school one of my fondest memories from tail gates or victory parties, where Cindy's Cookies. I can remember eating them and wishing I knew how to make them myself. Cindy Noble, published this recipe in the Daily Star and one of my dear friends cut it out for me. I have had the recipe for a while, but last night was my first time to make them and they are delicious!!! In the paper, the name of the recipe was just Cookies, but I have decided to call them Cindy's Cookies.

                               Cindy's Cookies
2 1/4 cup of flour
3/4 cup of light brown sugar
3/4 cup of sugar
1 tsp of baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 to 2 cups oatmeal (old fashioned)
*Mix together dry ingredients

ADD:

2 sticks of butter (melted)
1Tbsp vanilla
1/2 package of white chocolate chips
1/2 package of milk chocolate chips

Drop with cookie scoop onto cookie sheet and bake at 350 for approximately 12 to 15 minutes. (They are best a little uncooked.)

A service of worship

If you have ever been around Kyle and me, you know we are perfect for each other. Kyle is the kindest person I have ever met and he truly has a heart of gold. He thinks about me before thinking of himself and always strives to make me happy. I am truly blessed! God could not have done any better when he created Kyle for me. I could not imagine a day without him he is my rock and I love him very much. Kyle has a servants heart and always puts God first in his life and in our marriage. He is my perfect. Our wedding was a dream come true. It was a day that I had dreamed about for years. Everything from the flowers, food, and decorations were more than words can describe. It was everything I have ever dreamed of and more. When I was planning my wedding I knew one thing was for sure, I wanted the ceremony to truly be an act of worship, and that it was.

Before the throne of God above
I have a strong and perfect plea.
A great high Priest whose Name is Love
Who ever lives and pleads for me.
My name is graven on His hands,
My name is written on His heart.
I know that while in heaven He stands
No tongue can bid me thence depart.
When Satan tempts me to despair
And tells me of the guilt within,
Upward I look and see Him there
Who made an end of all my sin.
Because the sinless Savior died
My sinful soul is counted free.
For God the just is satisfied
To look on Him and pardon me.
Behold Him there the risen Lamb,
My perfect spotless righteousness,
The great unchangeable I AM,
King of glory and of grace,
One in Himself I cannot die.
My soul is purchased by His blood,
My life is hid with Christ on high,
With Christ my Savior and my God!

There's a sweet sweet spirit in this place
And I know that it's the spirit of the Lord

There are sweet expressions on each face
And I know that it's the presence of the Lord

Sweet Holy Spirit
Sweet Heavenly Dove
Stay right here with us
Filling us with your love

In this very room there's quite enough love for one like me,
And in this very room there's quite enough joy for one like me,
And there's quite enough hope and quite enough power to chase away any gloom,
For Jesus, Lord Jesus ... is in this very room.

What a beautiful day it was! Words cannot describe the emotions I feel when I see these pictures. I can't believe that is me. Three years ago, I was a freshmen in college and I would have NEVER dreamed I would be married, but God had different plans for my life, and I thank him for that.

Lately

The past week and a half I have been busier than ever! I have been observing at Coffeeville Elementary School the past month and I have really enjoyed getting to know the students. I absolutely love my clinical instructor, she is great! Observing, school, and work tend to keep me on my toes. This week I have a lesson plan due, a lesson plan presentation, and a 1000 word paper. Talk about busy!

My favorite part of the day is when I come home to this handsome face! Gram gets so excited to see me and it makes my day! I just wish you could see him he squeals and runs all around me.

I have managed to do a little cooking this week...

Lemon Icebox Pie
If you are looking for a quick easy recipe; this is it!

                    Lemon Icebox Pie
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 large egg yolks (if your eggs are not large, just use a few extra small ones)
  • 1/3 cup of lemon juice (I use real lemons, not juice from a bottle or can) and i normally put more that 1/3 cup. I normally use about four large lemons.
  • 1 Graham Cracker crust
Pour the egg yolks in a bowl and then the lemon juice. Beat well. *It is important to pour the lemon juice in the yolks, and not vise versa, because the lemon juice cooks the eggs.* (you can make meringue with the egg whites, if you like it) After you mix the egg yolks and lemon juice together, pour the can of sweetened condensed milk in the mixture. Mix well. Pour mixture into the Graham Cracker crust and place in the fridge for at LEAST an hour before eating. If you are in a hurry just put it in the freezer.  ENJOY!
